The Valley of the Stunned Finds Life in 3 chord Pop Punk

My basic instincts always lead me to to bottom-line, 3 chord punk.  It’s refreshing to find a band with a good sensibility of the roots of punk, and no gimmicky gimmicks.  Fronted by dynamic singer-guitarist, Gaby Carvajal, Look Out Look, does just that; offering hook laden, straight out pop punk with driving guitars and a fast and furious rhythm section.

Photo notes:  I only wish my new lens had been delivered in time for this show (it came the next day).  I did have fun in post-processing, though.  Smoke and low-light presented an ample challenge, and I’m happy with the surrealistic quality of a couple of these shots.

The band, according to Gaby, is going through some changes, and aren’t gigging again until May (Rhythm Room, Scottsdale).  I can’t wait to bring my new, improved shooting setup to the next show, to hear Look Out Look’s new (improved?) lineup!
